Since leaving Paris our ability to get online in any substantive manner has been a problem. This is of course a good thing and a bad thing! Finally, on a train from Amsterdam to The Hague (Den Haag) we have the best connection we have had in a while. So, as I am sitting on this train as it whizzes by my childhood home, I have a moment for a quick update and a picture or two.

We left France, drove through the Champagne region and stayed in a castle in Hattonchatel. From there we moved further east to Cirey-sur-Vizouze and stayed at a fantastic chateau for a few days, using it as a base for exploring the region. We visited Kim's ancestral home and dropped in on some very distant relatives. From there we headed back to Paris to catch a train to Amsterdam and stayed on a house boat on the Amstel river for a couple of days. Now we are headed a little south to the Hague to explore some more! Hopefully the next few days will allow us to fill in the gaps and post a little more.
